PANGAEA Data Submission Tutorial „PANGAEA - Data Publisher for Earth & Environmental Science is a publisher and library for georeferenced data from earth system research. Observational and analytical data files are archived with a description (metadata) in a relational database. Each data set includes a bibliographic citation and is persistently identified using a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Pangaea offers service and curation for the data output of projects, institutes and individual scientists. Data can be published as an independent "publication" or as a supplement related to an article. Data are in Open Access and are placed under a Creative Commons license.Pangaea- is hosted by the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz-Center for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), Bremerhaven and the Center for Marine Environmental Sciences (MARUM), Bremen, Germany." DSHIP land system Tutorial v.2 and Tutorial v.3 Nautical and scientific data on various research vessels are systematically collected, processed and archived with the data management system DAVIS-SHIP (DSHIP). The archived files of the research vessels are transferred to the DSHIP land system and these data are accessable through a web inferface. DSHIP contains tracks, stations and underway measurements from cruises of German research vessels. There are archive systems for version 2 and version 3 for the research vessels. They differ in the design of the web-based user interface but provide the same functionalities.

Tutorial for research software publication at GEOMAR Research software developed by GEOMAR scientists and software developers can be published at GEOMAR. This process is an initiative of the GEOMAR software developers and is realised in cooperation between the GEOMAR DFD teams and the GEOMAR library. A DOI for research software can be requested via OceanRep GEOMAR (https://oceanrep.geomar.de/), the institutional repository for full-text print publications managed by the GEOMAR library. |
